The build itself was as expected from the highest rated guitar kit company I could find. Neck glued right in, and the frets are perfect. I just rolled the neck edges very slightly for comfort. The volume of sound coming from the pickup cavity before installing the pickup was amazing!
The guitar still has the setup strings on it, but sounds great with every amp I have tried. Modded Marshall JCM 800, 1934 Supro, and Fender Hot Rod with pedals all give great results. The extra treble you would expect from the Black Limba can be dialed back with the tone knob, and the 100% rolled off woman tone is the most usable, pleasing tone of any guitar I own.
I highly recommend Precision Guitar Kits for anyone interested in building a guitar you actually will want to play. Besides, scouring the internet for each piece of the guitar is way better then getting a bag full of the cheapest of everything available.
