OEM, Builders & Custom Programming

OEM Production

Here at PGK, building bodies and necks for other builders represents a significant portion of our production and is vital to our workflow.  We can apply skills and procedures we’ve learned over the years along with our extensive material collection to building your proprietary instruments for you.

Want us to build something for your business that you don’t see on our website?  Somewhere in between one of our existing models with your own headstock and a fully custom instrument?  We can work with you no matter how custom you need and provide bodies and necks to get you a quality starting point for your builds.

As with everything we build here at PGK, we use modern CNC tech everywhere possible and we strive to produce the most precise and repeatable instruments possible.  Please email us here to get the process started on your OEM and builder needs.  We will first price programming costs and when you are ready, bill you for those.  These are up-front costs and don’t include an instrument or prototype.  Once paid, we will work with you to create CAD for your project and have you approve it.  Once approved, we will create the programs, fixtures, tooling, etc in order to produce your instrument.  When this is complete, you can order this instrument with a number of options in whatever quantities you need, whenever you need.

Builder Discounts

If you are looking for quantity discounts on larger orders of what we already have on our website or your own custom designs please let us know!  We normally start to offer permanent discounts for any builders once they order 10 guitars.  These discounts can then be used for all future purchases.

Custom Programming

If you’re a builder and looking for custom programming, then you would fall into the OEM category at the top of this page.

If you’re an individual who is looking to have us program something custom for a one-time purchase, unfortunately we are usually not able to make this work.  The costs to program and test anything new are almost never worth it for our customers or for us.  If there is an option or small change you’d like to see on something we already offer, send us an email here and make your suggestion.  If enough people ask for the same thing, that’s a clear sign to us to change our offerings and we do often make these changes.
